Discussion with a Student

Student: "Professor Burgoon, I am turning in my illustration assignment. It really didn't take me long at all."

Me: "I can tell. You probably should have taken more time and worked on the detail."

Student: "Awe, you know me. I'm just lazy."

(5 minutes later)

Same Student: "Professor Burgoon, I want to get into the Art Center of Pasadena. What can I do to have a portfolio that will impress them?"

Me: "Steal one."

It's a start...

Tweaked the layout of our blog as best I could, but am in the process of learning to do more (apparently, HTML has flown out the window and has been replaced by 'widget' tags.) Always something new to learn everyday, if not attempt to cram inside my already over-stuffed brain.

Too bad our minds aren't like piñatas: the more you beat the crap out of it, the more goodies come spewing out.

So far, no candy bars-- but how's the blog looking, guys?!
